Men’s Health

We encourage health checks on men. We provide:

  • Full and detailed medical history taking
  • Comprehensive physical exam
  • Blood testing if required
  • Preventative health planning
  • Cardiovascular risk assessment
  • ECG if required
  • Diabetes risk assessment
  • Review of vaccination status
  • Recalls for review as needed

We encourage all our male patients to have regular checks to help initiate preventative strategies.

It is also worth considering an annual, comprehensive skin check to assess for existing or potential skin cancers.

Age and Health

Age can be a strong indicator of a man’s health risks.

Whilst chronic illness is most prevalent for people aged 65+, regardless of their gender, men see a significant increase in their risk of cancer and cardiovascular issues from age 40+.

For many men in the 40-65 age group, an annual check up is the best way to keep track of your baseline health and start cancer screening where recommended.

Fertility can also be an important conversation at some stage in a man’s life. Our doctors are trained to discuss and diagnose any potential fertility concerns and provide avenues for treatment where required.

Mental Health

We all have mental health, and it is normal to have temporary slumps or elevations in your mood.

However, where these slums and elevations start impacting your day-to-day life or last a long time, it is worth seeing someone about it.

You are not alone. All of our doctors have specialised training in mental health and are here to help. They can provide you with mental health support and strategies through an appointment, refer you on to see a psychologist or psychiatrist, and discuss the role of medication in managing your mood where appropriate.

If you are nervous about making an appointment, our wonderful reception team are great at recommending the right doctor for the right patient and will do their best to pair you with someone that you can speak to freely.

There are also great community services available, including:
