We are thrilled to welcome Dr Sacha Ruberu to The Bennelong Medical Clinic!
Dr. Sacha Ruberu is a medical practitioner with special interests in women’s health, children’s and adolescent health, mental health, weight management and chronic disease care. She is a dedicated physician who has devoted her career to improving the health and well-being of her patients.
Dr. Ruberu has been interested in health and the human body since she studied the digestive system in high school. She completed a degree in Human Biology and Psychology at the University of Canberra, ACT where she grew up. She completed her medical training at the University of Tasmania, where she received her medical degree. She started working as a doctor in the UK working at a number of busy teaching hospitals. She returned to Australia to continue her training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown followed by general practice training in the western Sydney region.
Throughout her career, Dr. Ruberu has been a passionate advocate for preventative health measures. She believes that many illnesses and diseases can be prevented through healthy lifestyle choices, regular check-ups, and early intervention. She is particularly passionate about empowering her patients to take control of their health by making informed decisions about their diet, exercise and mental health.
Dr Ruberu also participates regularly in a high school health education program named “GPs in Schools” run through the Sydney North Health Network. She feels that addressing teenager’s current health needs and sharing useful resources for future concerns can empower them to lead a healthy life.
In her spare time, Dr Ruberu enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She makes exercise a priority and enjoys walking, cycling, swimming and gym classes. She also enjoys singing and participates in her church and a community choir.
Dr Ruberu will be joining us on Mondays and Thursdays from 27 March 2023.
